Build a dialed rowing setup with the NRS Advantage Oar Package, featuring the performance driven Helix blade, a durable Advantage shaft, and a molded oar sleeve. This complete system is designed for smooth power transfer, reduced fatigue, and dependable control—whether you’re navigating technical low water or long days behind the sticks.

The Advantage shaft delivers the perfect balance of strength and flex, while the Helix blade’s asymmetrical design provides a more efficient stroke with less resistance on the return. Paired with a molded sleeve that protects your shaft and locks in your oar position, this package gives you everything you need for a reliable, high-performance setup right out of the box.

Built with guides and serious rowers in mind, this is a go-to system for drift boats and rafts across Western rivers.

Advantage Oar Shaft:

Built for boaters who prioritize efficiency, ease of use and reliable performance on big and short mileage days, the Advantage Oar Shaft tops aerospace-grade aluminum with a cushioned, ergonomic indexing handle for super strength and comfort.

  • Heavy-duty construction, with double-wall reinforced aluminum tubing.
  • Protective low-friction exterior polyethylene sheath increases durability and enhances glide for more efficient strokes.
  • All shafts are heat tested to prevent material migration within the polyethylene blended shaft.
  • Ergonomic handle features a rubber-cushioned palm swell to reduce hand fatigue.
  • Indexing thumb contour on the handle allows you to quickly orient the oar blade by feel, keeping your focus and eyes on the line.
  • Compatible with NRS blades (Helix, Advantage), Carlisle Outfitter blades, and Cataract blades (Cataract, Cutthroat, Magnum, Streamlite).
  • Blades are sold separately so that you can choose the width and brand that best suits your needs. The removable blades also permit easy storage and transport.

Note: Shaft lengths are listed as the final length, which will include the approximately 27" long blade.

Helix Blade:

When the water is low, but the fishing is good, the NRS Helix Blade’s asymmetric shape and lightweight aluminum core deliver maximum stroke efficiency.

  • Asymmetrical shape puts even pressure on both sides of the oar shaft delivering a smooth, efficient stroke.
  • Ideal weight for longer days pushing rubber.
  • Designed to scrape fewer rocks than traditionally shaped blades in low-water application.
  • Easy push button locks the 1 5/8" diameter blade shank into 1 5/8" ID Cataract, Carlisle and Sawyer oar shafts, allowing quick, no-tool interchangeability.
  • The aluminum core adds strength and rigidity while reducing blade weight.
  • Constructed with high-impact ABS and nylon blend for maximum durability.
