Oct 1st Fishing Report

Posted by Jeff Gray on

 Fall fishing is in full swing. We've been seeing decent hatches and the fish have  a lot on the menu to choose from. The weather has been very mild with warm days and cool nights. It's made for very pleasant days on the water. You pretty much can't go wrong with your bug selections;

  • Hoppers - #8-12 Range, Something in Pink or Tan
  • October Caddis - #10-12, Orangish color
  • Parachute Ants - #14-16, Black or Cinnamon
  • Brindlechutes - #10-16
  • Purple Haze - #14-16
  • Mahoganies - #14-16
  • Tricos - #20-22
  • Plan B's - #10-14, Pink, Tan or Rust
  • Nocturnal Stones - #6-8 - Tan or Brownish
  • Hecuba Cripple - #10-14
  • Worms - #10, Red or Pink
  • Rubberlegs - #8-12, Black/Coffee or Orange/Brown
  • Streamers - #4-6, Anything Olive or Brown/Yellow

The flows have been staying fairly steady and should continue unless we get a significant weather system. Less angler pressure too. Get out and enjoy the last bit of fishing, the cold weather will be here before you know it.  Shop is open everyday at 8:00 am for your fishing pleasure.
